What is the difference between Skilled Nursing vs. Assisted Living?

While some parallels between the services do exist, it is important to know the differences when looking at care for your loved ones. Skilled Nursing provides twenty-four hour supervision, assistance with cares and meals, and the above described services. Assisted Living offers more independece in their own setting, typically an apartment, however less direct supervision and personal care. If you have questions about placement in either setting, please contact one of our social workers who would be glad to assist you and your family.
