Therapeutic Recreation Activities
The Therapeutic Recreation program is designed to meet the leisure interests, needs and abilities of those who reside at Assumption Campus. All campus residents are encouraged to attend the various campus events to promote socialization, physical fitness, creative expression, spirituality, intergenerational connections, community integration, musical interests, sensory stimulation and animal interaction.
Our certified staff and trained assistants work as a team to involve residents and tenants in these programs. We monitor participants and program content for needed changes to maximize everyone's potential. We strive to include the residents' past history into the programs through reminiscing, props, individual memory boxes and incorporating meaningful activities from the past into the Recreation program.
