Why would my loved one need a nursing home (skilled nursing facility) or the services they provide?

This year alone, about nine million men and women over the age of 65 will need some type of long term care. By 2020, 12 million older adults will need long term care. A study by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Servicessays that people who reach the age of 65 will likely have a 40% chance of entering a nursing home, or skilled nursing setting.
While Assumption Community offers numerous services in order to best equip yourself, or your loved on to stay within their home setting as long as possible, there may come a time when you require the services of the Assumption Home.
